Get on with it, Katy.

I haven't written anything, my next one is due on Jan the 11th, I am soooo behind with reading and now DD is coughing and looking like she'll develop a proper cold. Argh.

StoodAProleyCattleShed · 15/12/2010 16:02

winny, did you finish the Jane Eyre one yet?

SummerRain · 15/12/2010 16:06

I'm supposed to be writing a TMA on 'CHange in the Artic' but just can't shift myself to write more than a few words an hour.

Just too much to distract me......

Good luck KatyMac

KatyMac · 15/12/2010 17:24

Oh poopy pants

It is not going well; I need more time

No, I haven't. I need to in the next two days as I have to reread Middlemarch and lots of critics before the tma 03 is due on Jan 11th.

I truly am pathetic.

How much of yours have you alreadu written, Katy?

BonniePrinceBilly · 15/12/2010 17:54

I finished my stats portfolio at 2.30am and am now working on my massive Lit review, which has to be in by midnight tomorrow.

I can do it, right? Sure I can, I can sleep when I'm dead.

You can do it lads
Xmas Wink

StoodAProleyCattleShed · 15/12/2010 17:55

SummerRain - change in the arctic sounds intriguing! What are you studying?

Winny - Middlemarch is not exactly a quick read is it Confused C'mon! Gerronwithit! I got 76 for the thing I cobbled together last week so it's well worth chucking something together and submitting it.

Katy - good luck, keep on going

StoodAProleyCattleShed · 15/12/2010 17:55

X posted with you BPB - sending vibes to you too Xmas Grin

SummerRain · 15/12/2010 18:01

Proley - U216 'Environment - journeys through a changing world'.

Am aiming for the Environemntal Science degree so it's a compulsory module but tbh it wouldn't have been my choice, i prefer the science modules, this one is far more 'wordy', we had a creative writing exercise on the last TMA fgs!

I'm starting S250 in January though so i'm trying to get as far ahead with this one as possible before then.

winnybella · 15/12/2010 18:10

Good job, Prolesworth!

Yes, I know, MM is loooong and not the easiest read, either. I think I'll forget about perfection and just write whatever and send it- tonight. Or tomorrow.

StoodAProleyCattleShed · 15/12/2010 18:12

I haven't even started studying for my next one so please don't think I'm on any kind of moral high ground here. I'm now two weeks behind the study calendar Confused

SR - that sounds really interesting to me. I would never have thought there'd be a creative writing exercise on an environment course though: what did you have to do?

SummerRain · 15/12/2010 18:20

Write two letters to the editor about a proposed zero energy development in our town, one as a technological optimist and one as a climate change skeptic. The word counts were restrictively low though which was irritating.

For this one we have to make up a museum exhibition on climate change in the artic for 80% of the TMA... not too bad but i'm having severe lack of motivation issues!

StoodAProleyCattleShed · 15/12/2010 18:23

Oh I can't stand those really low word count assignments: the fewer words available, the harder the task imho.

When's your arctic TMA due?

SummerRain · 15/12/2010 18:34

not til Jan, but i'm aiming to have the next one done too by the time S250 starts in Jan so really need to get a move on!

I'm a waffler so definitely don't cope well with low word counts!

StoodAProleyCattleShed · 16/12/2010 14:40

How's it going, TMAers?

winnybella · 17/12/2010 10:29

DD is ill with a cold/flu, I'm coming down with it as well, DP is away in London til Monday night...

Fuck is all I can say at the mo.

StoodAProleyCattleShed · 17/12/2010 12:05

Oh no! Maybe it would be best to forget the Jane Eyre one and get on with Middlemarch? Is the JE one substitutable?

Get well soon!

KateF · 17/12/2010 12:13

Sympathies winnybella. I have a TMA due 7th Jan, kids go back to school on 5th. Was going to do most of it today but have poorly dd3 lying on my lap and Cbeebies is on.

KatyMac · 17/12/2010 20:11

Back on the trail again as work is finished for the week

What chance to I have t get 2000 words done by Sunday night; I also have to:
Get DD new shoes
Get my mum's Christmas pressie
Visit the Library
Decorate the tree
Make a tonne of fudge
Eat a meal at my mums
Plan & organise a party for 60 (including a impromptu nativity)
attend said party
Set up DD's Wii at our house & at my mums (so she can unpack it and play right away)
Eat & sleep

Some hope??
