find myself finally getting in the shower and getting dressed at 3 o'clock in the afternoon like I will be today.
I used to joke that having 2 children would be twice the trouble but I think it's more like three times the trouble. I can't imagine how mums with more than 2 manage

I often wonder when I last had a bath... it's usually never been more than 2 days... but my memory's totally...well... b*ggered!

I know what you mean trinity - I think I went quite a few days without a shower, especially when ds1 and 2 were both in nappies, life just felt manic and exhausting. Also, it's impossible to have a bath/shower in the evening as it always wakes up ds1 however quiet I am!

trinityrocks · 24/09/2005 15:22

thanks guys I'm not alone then. I have now had a lovely shower and will now try to find some clean clothes to wear

im with you there - had a bath last night, but the shower wakes jess up - cant have a shower while its just me and her because she would cause no end of trouble!

expatinscotland · 24/09/2005 15:38

Pregnant w/no. 2. Not gonna have any more after this one arrives.

Haven't had a bath in years - only showers for quickness.

QueenOfQuotes · 24/09/2005 15:39

oh the joys of a downstairs bathroom - showers/baths at any tie of the day or night with no risk of waking teh children

Nightynight · 24/09/2005 15:48

I hate upstairs bathrooms! cant stand water going on the floor.

our bathroom in France is in the cellar.

ooh no must have bath EVERY DAY.

Otherwise go very strange.

triceratops · 24/09/2005 16:10

I sometimes catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and do a double take. Unwashed hair or panda eyes and I have just been outside .

Lack of self care is one of the first signs of depression. Must go and do some exercise to stave off the beast.

trinityrocks · 24/09/2005 16:13

I am suffering from depression at the mo and feel quite proud that I have managed a shower and clean ironed clothes today and had a hot meal for lunch

trice - you may have a point there..... really must get out more!

I went to pick dad up this morning and went to asda without even putting a comb through my hair - i looked bloody awful!

Wallace · 24/09/2005 16:43

like to bath everyday - excuse for peace and quiet, a cup of tea, and a good book

However I haven't had one since wednesday as we have no hot water, and the council say it is high prority, and someone will be out to see us within the next three working days

frannyf · 24/09/2005 17:17

Yes, I absolutely must have a shower every day. However I sometimes don't wash my hair for longer than I wish to admit (in my defence it is very long and thick).

Trinity, you are doing great, girl. You've done more than I have done today!

Cadmum · 24/09/2005 17:24

Shower... I seem to have vague memories of standing under lovely hot water at some point this week...

With 3 little people and DH away all the time, I often regret the time I spend behind closed doors whilst the children are awake and expecting #4 means that I need to sleep when they do. (Sound like good excuses?)

DD (as a baby) used to cry the second I put shampoo in my hair regardless of how content she was when I jumped in the shower.

magnolia1 · 24/09/2005 17:45

With 4 kids I really do struggle to get in the bath as much as I want or should

I do wash every day though!! Honest

And the last time I read a book Does the tv magazine count
