Keep a time limit, use a timer.

brimfull · 05/11/2010 17:47

DD has this and I was a bit worried about never seeing her again, needn't have worried at all, I don't even need to give her limits she barely uses it now. She seemingly wants to be in here all the time where there are people to annoy talk to Hmm Grin

My ds has a tv in his room andchas gone for ages mainly because I've got nowhere to put it. He has watched it twice I think

He sometimes uses it for playstation or wiu bit not ad much as I thought he would. Oh and football Grin

The dodgy bit is if you forget, because you are enjoying the peace and quiet. We had an oven timer with a loud ring. Smile

Apologies for iPhone spelling corrections!

brimfull · 05/11/2010 18:56

i suspect he would rather be here annoying us tbh

Once the novelty wears off he will probably prefer to be in the room with you. My DS only really uses his when he has friends here

Both my DS 6 and my DD 8 have telly's in their room. They watch a DVD at bedtime if in bed by 6.30 or no telly and bed 7.30. Like others I agree that in moderation it is absolutely fine. Know what you mean by the wii, my two didnt actually play it because DP has total control over telly and does not want it on bless them. So we are lucky we have a conservatory for them to use it in. They do so many sport activities that they dont spend too long watching telly so I am not too concerned
