Great father, but with no ideas how to play and entertain the kids.

My husband a very caring, loving father and I can't really complain, except for the fact that he is always lacking ideas how to entertain his kids, make them laugh or invent some simple games, surprises. I always have to help him with that and sometimes it's a bit upsetting, especially when you see these fathers "full of fun" and ideas. I guess I just have to accept the fact that he naturally doesn't have this ability. Is there anyone in similar position? Thanks.

Just tell your H to watch what the kids are doing and follow them. Let them be, the kids will show him what they want and as long as he gets involved the three of them will find their own way and once they get to grips with eachother will develop their own games through child led play

It's just one of those things that can take time and (please don't take this the wrong way), your intervention may be inhibitting this.

I have two girls, but it's not the reason for no ideas. I think some people just gifted to be so good with kids.
