Phil and Teds - what age did you put baby in the toddler seat?

DD2 is 3 months and hates the cocoon/newborn bit in our P&T Sport. I think it's because she can't see anything.

Does anyone know what age they can go in the toddler seat at the back? I can't see anything on the P&T website about it. I've tried putting her in it and she seems ok, it doesn't seem any different to putting her in her bouncy chair. She is quite small for her age though.

i did it around that age because ds just screamed! if you could but cosy toes in or blankets to make it a bit more snuggly it will be fine!

I did it at about 4 months because ds hated the lie flat bit as well and screamed and screamed!
The bottom seat reclines a little bit and I got a sheepskin seat cover thingy to pad it out and he was absolutely fine and has loved it ever since.
Someone suggested getting a newborn insert for a car seat and put one of those in if necessary but I found that it was fine for ds at 4 months without one.

fab thanks, I might use the headhugger from the carseat, good idea!

I did it from just over 3 months. My DS had good head control and I just had the zips undone so it was more reclined.

4 months, once he had quite good head control. Added a bit of extra support with a cosy toes.

Yes between 3 and 4 months too, was gagging to get him in there. Like already said really it does recline and you can use your head hugger to keep the head in place. It is so exciting to put them in there instead of them being in the cocoon thing. Have fun x

mine was also 3 months (about 3.5 i think?) i had to do it because he was v tall and big and just looked squashed in the baby section by then. he was fine! if your dd prefers it i think she will be fine
