Mine is a clean one!

steph1512 · 30/07/2010 10:02

I quite like my only pop in considering getting more but the fact that they arent exaclty cheap and the go bobbly quickly puts me off...loving my sinfle itti too but all this talk of scrunching and leaking has made me slightly nervous of purchasing quite a few

Omg i dont know where to start, I think my ultimate fave is bumgenius V3 just because i know i can put her in it anytime and i know there will be no leaks and no fuss, if im not there to change it anyone can change one of them cos they are simple.

But im also in love with my AI2 wee notion i just bought cos it seems to contain everything well and its super cute. Im also starting to love a terry square in bat fold with a purple little lamb wrap now im getting the hang of them.

For night time i just looooove my watermelon bedbug and a nature babies wrap.

steph1512 · 30/07/2010 14:02

any idea where i can pick up some cheap bumgenius? Just found out i may get £60 pounds towards nappies but hoping to stretch it as far as possible..thinking i might get a mix of bg and ittis.

OP posts:
SmacsGonePotty · 30/07/2010 15:21

here there are lots of places offering money off at the moment on v3 to clear space for the newly launched v4.
My vote is for bumgenius as well but I may have mentioned that before
They are slim fitting and ideal if you have 2 in nappies as it will fit both. They are also very quick drying.

steph1512 · 31/07/2010 12:45

4Bumgenius v3 on there way..I hope i like them as never tried them before!

Though i would go for 4 as that meant free delivery

SmacsGonePotty · 31/07/2010 21:28

I'm sure you will like them steph

QueenofDreams · 01/08/2010 11:18

Bumgenius are almost universally liked. I tried one on DS once though and it leaked within half an hour!
For some reason every single pocket I've ever tried on him has leaked. he has two WN AI2's and those are fabulous

OmicronPersei8 · 01/08/2010 11:31

I like the (now discontinued) tots bots fluffle as it comes out of the washing machine virtually dry and fits nicely (with a nappy nippa) and no leaks. It gets wet quickly though, but there you are.

Still about the one that got taken off and forgotton at MIL's (all bagged up) by DH, which they promptly threw out.

MrsJamin · 01/08/2010 14:56

Only have Itti Bitti D'Lish as I love them so. Jade or Red have got to be my favourite colours though.

AnAngelWithin · 01/08/2010 14:59

steph1512 · 01/08/2010 15:46

love the easyfit..although never actually tried one as very expensive imo

I love my pop-Ins but don't have quite enough for full time use. Also have piles of old terry nappies which were mine (!) haven't use these yet as I would need to get some sort of wrap could anyone recommend wraps for terries or have experience using them?

AnAngelWithin · 01/08/2010 16:05

i bought 'seconds' (not that you can even tell they are seconds!!) off ebay from the ebay totsbots store after the looooovely woman who runs tots bots sent me one for free when dd3 was born 9 weeks ago cos i am on their facebook page

4andnotout · 01/08/2010 18:59

I have had seconds from totsbots eBay shop and thy are fantastic, I can't find the faults with them, I went for the brights and got a real bargain.

chipmonkey · 01/08/2010 19:33

My Weenotions Side Snaps Custom made pocket which is pale blue minkee inside and out with a spotty blue and brown trim and a wolf track scene embroidery.
Ds4 says niiiiiiice nappy when I put it on him.

cupcake75 · 01/08/2010 19:38

Mini Lalas stuffed with a Bumgenius V3 inner. Love the patterns of Mini Lalas but find the bamboo inserts tend to leak. Bumgenius are the best all rounders but no patterns.

Crazycatlady · 01/08/2010 19:45

Itti Bitti D'Lish snap in ones. They are a snug, low rise fit so they don't ruin the line of DD's clothes the way most (bulkier) cloth nappies do. And the range of colours is fab.

steph1512 · 01/08/2010 20:51

crazycatlady how do you find the sizing, just thinking of ordering a few itti's

My ds is 14lb ish..worried he will outgrow the mediums very quickly?? could i get away with large i wonder?

OP posts:
Crazycatlady · 01/08/2010 21:20

DD was fine in the mediums from 3 months old until she reached 10kg, so 22lbs - age 14 months. She is a slim-ish build but by no means skinny.

When you first put them on they seem like they're going to be too small but they fit really nicely. There is plenty of room to adjust the sizing around the middle as there are a few popper options, but a DC with very chunky legs might possibly start to feel a bit squished.

Depends on his build really, I'd order one of each and see what fits best with no leaks.

steph1512 · 01/08/2010 21:26

well i tried a coolababy first which apparently requires chunky legs..but it really gapped!and leaked

The one medium itti i have when on is on the tightest popper but not the cross over, but still loads of waist room and def no way near tight on legs yet.

But he does seem quite long bodied. so wondered if he might start leaking out of the top

Ive seen pick of 2yr old still in medium then younger babies in large so wondeed how much difference there was in them.

suppose a btp is more economical so i wouldnt have to worry about buying more later but the ittis are so nice!

OP posts:
Crazycatlady · 01/08/2010 21:41

DD is quite long in the body. She only leaked out of the top when she reached 22lbs and was sleeping on her front in a sort of kneeling position, but then the logistics are different with boys!

You can always fold the top inner layer back on itself to provide a bit of a booster at the front?

When my large Ittis arrived they did seem massive compared to the mediums. We only bought six as the nappy changes are less frequent now, so the additional cost wasn't that much.

BTW she wears a different nappy at night. She's in an Ecobubs wool pocket. I've never tried her in the Ittis overnight as the Ecobubs are so fab and absorbent for all night wear, never had a leak yet. But they're pretty large so wouldn't work under daytime clothes.

steph1512 · 01/08/2010 21:46

oh yeah i didnt really think it through but liek you say by the time i need large i wont need as many. Think ill stick to medium then as there is loads of room in them.

Plus ill have 4bumgenius that should go through to potty as a top up!

Might get extra snap in boosters and 7itti's?? does the just changing the snap in really work or really practical?

Ive got a pop in bamboo with night booster for night time..bit bulky at the mo but fab for containment.

sorry fro all the questinos

OP posts:
Crazycatlady · 01/08/2010 21:54

Sounds like a plan, that should be plenty.

I think when I bought DD's mediums I bought 8 whole nappies and 3 spare snap ins.

Changing the snap in on its own works if it's just wet (and not soaked). Not so easy with a pooey one, unless you have a very neat pooer or use paper liners.

Of course when Itti bring out their next range of special edition printed nappies it'll be hard to resist buying extras!
