My DS is 14 months old.. I know there is time yet but he still isnt walking.. on land anyway.

We went to a water park the other day and he had his armbands on. We were in water about chest hieght on him when we stood him up. DH and I both stood close to him and ket go of him to see if he would float and swim (as he does swim if you hold him under his arms).
He started walkking and running round like a loony..
then when he had had enough he was lifting his legs up and kicking and moving his arms. The first time his mouth went under he swallowed some water, everytime afterthat he knew (or just did it) to close his mouth, if it did open he bought his mouth out of the water and spat it out.
Then he would go back to walking running. As soon as I tried to stand him on dry land he sat down..
So do you think I gave birth to a fish or a little boy!!!

SF- I must admit i think the main reason Scott is ok in the water is because we live out here and we go swimming nearly everyday in the summer months. Last year he was going in the water from being 10 weeks old until 4 months, then it got to cold. But he has been going swimming for the last 3 months. he just loves the water.

Aslong as he is walking by the time the cold weather comes.. as I have got him loads of cute jeans etc and can't wait for him to be toddling in them ..
