I've inherited some Pampers that are about 4 years old, do you think they'd still be o.k to use or does their crystals/gel go off?? I normally use cloth nappies but will need some on hols so thought we could use these. What do you think?

they don't have a "use by" date on them do they? I should think they'd be fine - you never know how long a packet might have been on a shelf in a shop

If it's a sealed packet I should think they'll be OK. I wouldn't use them if the packet had been opened in case they'd got damp.

actually now a days nappies DO have use by at dates!!!!!

at least huggies do!!!!! (honestly check if you dont believe me!) they seem to give them 2 years!

i personally would at least try the old pampers... before throwing them away

saying that if you look carefully lots of 'mad' things have use by dates including my current shower gel!

Thanks all, have got around to looking at the opened packet and they have got a 2 year "Best Before" so have chucked them out as they appear to have degraded anyway, off to buy some new ones then, pah! Thanks anyway.
