We have just found out that because DH is disabled and has a blue badge we are exempt from the hosepipe ban in the NW. A small silver lining to an otherwise dark cloud. Life is hard enough at times for us all without taking away the kiddies paddling pool in the midst of summer!
(Clearly we are using it responsibly but as we can't do family walks and other outings I reckon we deserve some breaks)
