I shamelessly intend to plunder your ideas for my own ends!

Hm, depends what he likes. Last birthday I bought DP the new football shirt for his team. Year before I got him the collectors edition of his favourite playstation game [geek emoticon] haha.
This birthday I'm thinking about either a digital camera or a PSP, because he will be doing lots of travelling over the next year.

But they aren't very 'grown up' presents are they?!

hmc · 01/07/2010 11:49

That's if you post any of your past present purchases here! (bumping)

Cup of tea in bed
New muse cd
Pair of socks (tradition)
A rare evening down the pub (with me ...as a friend babysat the dcs)

Simple pleasures (thats not a euphemism)

Poledra · 01/07/2010 12:42

I didn't get anything for DH's last birthday - for some reason he expcets to get all the presents

Actually, I can't remember - probably some Thornton's toffee and a takeaway............

hmc · 01/07/2010 12:43

My dh is a bit high maintenance when it comes to his birthday. He expects me to have bought a few well thought out gifts . I have booked a sitter for us to go out for a meal - but that won't be nearly enough for him!

I bought him nothing whatsoever but I did give him a really good blow job.

yama · 01/07/2010 12:45

Expensive whiskey.

ZZZenAgain · 01/07/2010 12:47

can't even remember, eriuosly.

It's coming up soon though, so thank for the reminder!

weepootle · 01/07/2010 12:50

One of these as he loves maps.

OrientCalf · 01/07/2010 12:52

tickets to ISIHAC

gingerkirsty · 01/07/2010 12:56

Tis his bday in a few days and I have bought him this so he can make me nice coffees on a saturday morning. I also intend to buy myself a bottle of hazelnut syrup to go with it!
PS he did in fact express a yearning for one of these some time ago!

ZZZenAgain · 01/07/2010 12:56

now I remember - we went to a show (so it is not just a present for dh I suppose)

How fussy is your dh hmc about his birthday? What things have you got him in the past?

dh usually gets a book too about Greek/Roman history/archaeology something of that type.

upahill · 01/07/2010 12:59

I got him a camera

www.jessops.com/online.store/products/77142/show.html

and a track day at Oulton Park plus a couple of tickets for gigs.

We went out for a meal with the kids as we do on eveyones birthday

hmc · 01/07/2010 13:08

Replying to various posts:

What is ISHIAC?

Dh likes map too so that link could be useful, thanks

In answer to the question - he is proper fussy about his birthday! - What have I got him before? ; history books (mixed reception, he prefers to choose his own), socks and shirts (he says thanks but thinks it is boring), CDs (can't thing of any atm), a ticket for a 1 day England cricket event, a voucher for a back massage (he never used it)

He might like Spidermama's suggestion since he often complains about lack of bedroom action!
