We have had Spotify for aaaages, it is great. We read DP hooked it up to the tv via the xbox so our music comes out of surround sound speakers too!

have been spotifying for a while now. it's great because for the last 6 months or so you haven't been able to have the free listening service. Ye n ow it's back, yipeee!It was available as a free service but they stopped it, and you could only get the free service if you had an invite from a member. Some kind mnetter invited me some time back.

I have sent the link to my mum and mate to tel lthem it's back on.

You can't burn stuff but it's fab to have a little immediate jukebox isn't it!!! I have been right down memeory lane and back again with mine, and introduced dd to alot of my record collection ( the vinyl that now sits in boxes under the stairs!!)

I've had great fun with it tonight!

it's great! i sit there and go 'oh my god i used to like bla bla' and hey presto i am listening to it!!

I use Last FM for my internet radio. You can either type in a band eg Nine Inch Nails and it will continously play music by bands in that genre or say what style of music you want.

It's great and introduces you to old favourites as well as new (to you) groups.

I have been trying to get an invite for months. No one I know uses it. I have been trawling websites looking too so if anyone is feeling kind.....

but you don't need an invite anymore!!! they have the free service back as far as i can see?

It's changed a bit, it used to be available free for anyone, then it was only on a mahoosive waiting list/invite only, now they've introduced Spotify Open which lets you have 20 hours listening time a month for free/with no invite.

It's streaming isn't it? So best watch out for excessive Broadband costs...
