Do you still get a pang when friends send pictures of their tiny new babies?

I just received the most beautiful pictures of my friend's baby.

I have a 6 month old. I am still tired, bf'dg and it's not really possible at the moment. But it gave me that feeling of wanting another...

Does that happen to you?

oh yes, I am soo broody. dd is 6 months and a joy, but not a newborn any more...

It used to. But now my kids are getting older and I'm starting to see glimpses of a life without nappies and prams.

So when I see friends with new babies I say "aww, lovely" and ask for a cuddle. Then I hand the baby back and think "thank God that's not my responsibility"

Are you hoping to have more, at some point?

CMOTdibbler · 28/06/2010 11:01

No, but I've never been one for being broody

Sidge · 28/06/2010 11:04

Sort of, I get a little pang and feel sad for a nanosecond as I realise I'll never be pregnant or have a newborn again.

But then I heave a sigh of relief that I am done with the baby days!

Poledra · 28/06/2010 11:06

Not any more. I held a work colleague's 8-week old baby boy last week. He was gorgeous, and smelt adorable.

But I don't want to steal him.

MrsJohnDeere · 28/06/2010 11:18

No, not at all. Just a feeling of huge relief that it isn't me having to go through all that again.

MarshaBrady · 28/06/2010 12:24

Maybe fruitful. I have two and I am happy.

I get a lot of pics by email as many friends are o/s.

This was the first time in a while it registered with a pang of longing!

Nope, just relief here, that the proper baby bit is all behind me, I would hate beyond belief to have to do the first year again.

Yes.

One of my neighbour's (whom I barely know) has just had a baby. I was so excited to go to Bonpoint with DD to choose a little outfit and I so hope I can borrow him babysit soon

Francagoestohollywood · 28/06/2010 12:41

No, not anymore. Ok, just a little bit if baby is particularly beautiful.
