I know the width and drop of the windows but dont know what 'fullness' I want - what are 'pencil pleats' What is 1.5 width? I just want normal curtains that hang on curtain rings and dont look too mingy.

why not phone the number and see what they say?

or have a look at this for examples of different pleats...

how much? at least 1.5...

I think pencil pleats are the normal ones you get with the standard heading tape. 1.5 width is 1.5 times size the actual size you want the curtain. So if you have a 2 metre track , one curtain would need to be 1 metre, so to get 1.5 width you need 1.5 metres. Double width would be 2 metres etc. Not 100% sure about that but think it's right.

what was the answer, enid?

PrincessPeaHead · 16/08/2005 19:51

1.5 x always looks miserly, go for 2 x width, that should come out well...
make sure you take into account pattern repeat when ordering as well (if relevant)

Agree with pph, I always go for 2x
