Why dh's ex-gf tell me she's got a picture of dh & me on her fridge...

This is really bothering me and I don't know if I'm blowing it out of proportion...

DH, when we met 5 years ago, had a female friend he'd known since school. She lives 200 miles away near his home town. A couple of times early on we were due to meet up with her & her husband & kids, but it never quite happened. Then she split up with her husband. Once or twice when when we were visiting family near her, I asked dh if he wanted to arrange to meet up, he always said no. DH is not particularly sociable, and our entire social life revolves around 'my' friends rather than anybody he brought with him.

When we got married 18 months ago i asked dh if he wanted to invite her and he said 'no interest'.

Then 2 months ago, at my dear father in law's funeral, she turns up, introduces herself to me at the wake saying 'this might sound weird, but i have your wedding photo on my fridge so i can say hello to dh every day'.

well, yes, it does sound a bit weird.

she then went on to patronise me a bit (oh, don't you look good for someone who's only just given birth!) and said that her teenage daughter was very upset that dh had married me because she had a soft spot for him (presumably meant to be lighthearted, but again felt very odd) and i saw no more of her since there were 500 or so people there.

I asked dh where she'd got our wedding photo from and he said, no idea, and given the event we were at I obviously didn't want to start an inquisition. She has family who are in touch with dh's family, so it's not totally implausible that she could have asked one of them for a copy of our wedding photo.

Or dh is still in touch with her, and sent her one. In which case why didn't he invite her to the wedding? And why would he deny it or keep it secret that he still spoke to her?

If there was something funny going on, the last photo DH would have sent would be one of your wedding! IMO DH hasn't felt comfortable around her in recent years for whatever reason (a bit too weird, intense), or the friendship has just run it's course.

I'd forget it. She sounds nuts!
