hello

I'd really really appreciate your opinions. I've just set up a small new company called Preschool Punk and we print alternative tees and accessories for babies up to 9 yr olds.

As a lot of articles/parent forum/chats show, there's a lot of debate about slogan wear for children, especially as there are some examples of it being totally inappropriate. But we feel it doesn't always have to be negative.

We're trying to offer an alternative, which is as positive, fun and individual as possible.
If anyone would be willing to take a look and give us some feedback, I'd be really grateful.

Nice to meet you all and thanks in advance for your help!

Sorry, don't like it. Personally don't feel the desire to put any slogans my children. Whilst some of your slogans are less objectionable than others, I don't feel my childs clothing is the place to advertise MY opinions.

I quite like some of the Tees, but don't plan on spending 12 quid on a T. I'd rather dress the child in plain or striped hand me downs with the odd gig shirt from an event he was at.

I quite like a few of them, but wouldn't buy them as they are too expensive. Maybe as a gift though.

now you see, black is a colour I really like on kids, and its hard to find very small black tees.
My blonde boy looks fab in black.

Butterpie · 22/06/2010 20:18

I like black on my blonde girl! Much better than boring sickly pink, and it goes with everything.

purepurple · 22/06/2010 20:20

I love them but then I am punk as fuck anyway

CoupleofKooks · 22/06/2010 20:22

oooh, the ones i am looking at are lovely
the fairytale ones are clever, arty and different
i am going to carry on looking
i have another blonde boy who likes wearing black

CoupleofKooks · 22/06/2010 20:26

i like the bags as well! ds would really like those

well some of the t-shirts are not to my taste, but some are really fun, and i would definitely consider buying for a present or something

I can't get your website to load.

But if you want my opinion on alternative clothing for young children, I would love to be able to find nice, well designed metal/gothic type clothing for my 2 year old DS. I do think slogans are generally naff, but I like funky pictures, band logos etc. Not gruesome stuff or skulls and death-type images (look at Spiral Direct's nasty range)which I find inappropriate. I'd like to have more black or dark clothes (especially hoodies which I'd be prepared to pay a bit more for than, say, a t-shirt) available at a reasonable price. And I've looked everywhere for a childs emo-style beeney hat, the sort that's looser at the back like Ville Valo used to wear. Nobody sells those.

WickedWitchSouthWest · 22/06/2010 20:43

I really like some of them, but £12.50 for a t shirt is daft. Also I'm one of the brigade that isn't mad keen on black on tiny children.

CuppaTeaJanice · 22/06/2010 21:03

Finally got on there, but each page takes a reeeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllllllllllyyyyyyyy long time to load. Don't know if anyone else found this. My computer isn't normally slow and it makes looking at your site really difficult.

Also I couldn't see any hoodies. The tshirt prices seem a bit steep - I'd rather spend £15 on a hoodie than £12.50 for a t-shirt which would prob give you a similar amount of profit.

It's also a bit heavy on the sloganry (is that a word?). I'd prefer a print of a funky, punky character, with something a bit different about it - glitter ink, rhinestones, chain, google eyes, that sort of thing.

Love the hats and black tutu though!!
