Children in the front seat of car - what age???

MY ds - 7.5yrs has been picked up and put in the front of the car in his car seat.

Have made them push the seat back as far as possible but whats the rules are there any?

Please can anyone let me know.

No airbags in the passenger seat.

No restrictions unless there is an active airbag. Just have to be suitably restrained ie corretc car/booster seat for weight

Its fine legally wise, all car seats can go in the front seat as long as there is no airbag activated unless it says otherwise on manufacturers instructions

Statistically the back is safer i believe but obv if the back is already full or whatever then the front it must be
