How can I get unwanted toys/clothes to an orphanage?

I have several boxes of good quality clothes/shoes/toys that I would love to get to an orphanage somewhere (rather than a car boot sale or charity shop).

Does anyone know of an organisation that takes goods for shipment to Romania/India/Africa etc?

Was thinking more of overseas - probably can't take them in UK because of 'elf n safety'!
