Today has been one of those days that is awful from beginning to end so I thought I'd have a whine to you those of you who are probably just starting your day.. hope you have a better day than me...
Woke up early for no particular reason this morning, consequently I have been tired all day - ds (3) has also been extremely active all day and I was almost in tears this afternoon because he was consistently touching things he's not supposed to touch, throwing things, pulling my washing out of the basket, jumping on furniture, generally being a pain, etc etc so I have now plonked him in front of a video and I'm sitting here with a rather large glass of wine.
I also baked a cake this morning to take around to FIL's (who is on his own for several weeks while his wife is away). He loves cakes & I particularly took time out of my busy morning to drop it around to him and to make sure he was ok at the same time, only to be met with a bit of a lukewarm response and I think the cake probably went straight into the freezer. Nevermind... I just felt a bit peeved as if I had wasted my time making it!!
Man also came round this afternoon to measure ds' bedroom window, as we are having insulated glass put in. After he left I was trying to put the blinds down but they appeared to be stuck, so I wasted another half hour trying to get them to come down. Lo and behold I then bent over to pick something up off the floor and my head caught the edge of ds' bookshelf, which came tumbling down on top of me. Spent another half hour putting the shelf back up and replacing all the books. I then realised I had forgotten to pick up dh's dry cleaning and had to pile ds into the car and drive through very heavy traffic just to pick up a pair of b*dy trousers. And finally, have been bombarded with phone calls from telemarketers who get very snotty when you tell them that you are NOT INTERESTED!!!
Anyway... it's only tea time so I've still got the rest of the evening to go. I feel better after ranting though and I might even pour myself another glass of wine. Thanks for listening.
