just curious...how you find the small parcels...especially if you've ordered something

Yes, the postie will (should, I'm a bit dubious of ours!) leave a note if they can't fit letter/parcel through.

Parcels too big for the letterbox usually come on a van round here; and even if the postperson does bring them he/she knocks.

If nobody is in we get a note (the sorting office is down the road and round the corner so no big deal).

Why, li? Are you having probs with your outward orders?

Our postie will chap the door if a little to big for letterbox. Usually when I am still in dressing gown sporting hairy legs.

our postie leavs them outside parcels and letters for the whole road to see and nick!

I tend to be in when the post arrives but if not he leaves it behind the flower pot or with a neighbour.

Our postman can come anytime between 8am and 3pm.
He usually just leaves parcels outside, doesn't even bother to knock first. My dog usually lets me know the postman is there!

As for letters, they will be folded to fit through the letter box.
