Seriously? I am recently separated - its all amicable - my kids dad has them quite often, but I find that I am kinda....boring.

I need a hobby - any suggestions?

Adult education/pubs/gyms/voluntary stuff.

I don't fecking know, I handed mine in when I went into labour and haven't got it back yet

Don't take up a Hobby. You will be a hopeless fuddyduddy.
Nowadays they're called Passions, so get Passionate about something.
Country & Western dancing, Astronomy, Ghost Hunting to name but 3 to get you started.

Ah, so no "stamp collecting...."

I'm sure I did more before I had kids/got married, but whatever could it have been? I'm sure laying on my bed listening to moody music couldn't have taken up all my time

I would join the BTCV. It always looks like fun and you meet all kinds of new people.

Am in a similar boat but without the support of XP appat from every other Sat night and a sunday. At 42-what on earth am supposed to do with that time?
Don't want a "hobby" (unless it stops me eating and drinking) and don't want to try and be too "young and hip".
Don't want to feel that life is only now about me,DD,keeping the house clean/tidy and meeting the odd friend for coffee but not sure I have the energy/capacity for anything else I can think of.aaaarrrggghhh!

mrsruffallo - what does BTCV stand for?

Whooosh - I know what you mean. My kids are away more than that, and I would like to do something that is fun, and interesting, and that I enjoy.
hmmmm
