How do I get a legit company that I have done business with to take me off their email list?

I keep getting email newsletters from a company that I was once a customer of. There are no unsubscribe instructions at the bottom, so I keep replying to the emails requesting to unsubscribe, and cc-ing my replies to their main 'info@' address, but the emails keep coming.

What are the rules about this? Is there anything I can threaten them with?
