Are peace lily leaves poisonous?

Monkeychops just scoffed one. Not displaying any adverse effects yet..

err according to this website yes they are peacelilly but not sure if its the same plant as you have.

supposadly they can kill cats ,,not sure re children call drs or nhs direct if nobody knows just to be sure

Child, not sure if he swallowed it as I got alot out of his mouth. Gonna ring NHS direct. Eek!

This link says they're category C, which is harmful if eaten rather than toxic or poisonous - which may or may not be reassuring! Ring NHS Direct and ask them for advice.

Trying to piece the bits together to see if they fit the missing chunk fromthe plant. Think he might have swallowed some. Ringing now.

If you think he's definitely eaten some then maybe it would be worth going straight to A&E rather than waiting for NHS Direct to call you back.

Got through and got assesed straight away. He has no symptoms so they said just give him cold drinks and icecream and keep an eye on him. God, nearlyt had a heart attack! Thanks

Thanks. I don't know what I was thinking, but I really didn't think they would be or I'd have checked on the net myself. The plant defo didn't come with a hazard sticker.

Just looking at the lists on your link WWB. It is so scary! Of course if I wasn't busy typing some comment into MN (round the corner from living room) then it wouldn't have happened. Bad mummy!! Baaaad MN!!
