What a fantastic idea! Basically, you advertise anything you've got that isn't worth selling and you would normally take down to the tip/have the council collect to see if there's anyone who could make use of it - I've joined my local groups and people have advertised bikes, sofas, computers, golf clubs, you name it!

I wish I'd seen this sooner..I've dumped so much stuff over time and loads in the last few months. I thought there would n't be anything in my town but was astonished to see 500 members listed!!!!

So I will join later although it's a bit tedious for lazy me to get yet another id password etc but I'm sure it will be worth it.
