Can't abide interfering and that was definitely interfering. One comment maybe I could stomach but to keep at it I'd have to roll out the "have you been drinking, shall I find you a taxi" routine!!!

My response to any rudeness is "Do I know you?" They invariable say "No", to which I say "I didn't think so", then turn and walk away.

It does sound as though she has some issues though, as well as being an interfering old bat. It it odd that people feel free to tell others how to bring up children when they would never dare comment on any other aspect of their lifestyle.
