Title says it all really. I do not seem to have my address bar anymore, I know it was there weeks ago and noticed today that it has gone.

Can tell the only sites I look at are on my favourites, but when people put a page without a link I can not copy and paste it, anyone have any idea's on how to get it back.

DH has been playing about (total novice) and I blame him

TIA

Try going to the bottom of your tool bar, a downwards arrow should appear and you can drag it down, your address bar should appear again. If this doesnt work let me know. HTH

Just had another thought...click on view, toolbars and make sure standard and address bar have ticks on them.

Hi 3girlsmum,

I have looked and there does not seem to be anything that I can drag down.

I looked under view and the address bar was not ticked so I ticked it, but it still not there

On the top tool bar of internet explorer do you have >> anywhere?

If you go just on top of the bottom line of your tool bar do you see a vertical arrow?

breeze · 21/06/2003 17:22

The only >> I have when I click comes up with organise, I do not have a vertical arrow anywhere.

You shouldnt need to click to get the >> it would be clearly showing on the bar above if its there. The vertical arrow will only appear if you move to the bottom of your bar above (sorry not sure if I made that clear enough before).

If address bar is ticked now then there is no reason it shouldnt show. Maybe when you restart the comp it will appear again. What version of windows are you using?

breeze · 21/06/2003 17:53

Ok I got you now, Windows XP.

All the other log in names have the address bar.

Sorry I am stumped then. If you have tried all below and its still not appearing I dont have a clue why. Normally all you have to do to make it reappear is to drag down or put a tick in the relevant box.

I now just have the one user when I log on as it loads straight up then and is a lot quicker. Sorry I couldnt help.

Don't worry, thanks anyway for all your help

Under view, it also has something that says Lock the toolbar, that is also ticked, would that effect it.

yes you could try unticking it and then make sure address bar is still ticked...thats the important one.
