they're crap. my boss and i used the online check in. mine worked really well but my boss managed to unbook herself! there was a big hoo-ha at the airport and eventually they got her a seat.... right next to me

theres a web site www.saynoto0870.co.uk ( or com) that will give you the equivalent normal phone number for an 0870 number. I refuse to phone any 0870 numbers and was appalled to see that the info line for the London bombings was an 0870 number!

Me too, Tracy - there was an apology later - they did it mainly because they could get a lot more lines straight away than with an 0800 number, so I read.

pph, there are loads of geographic alternative no's for BA on saynoto0870 - eg for 0870 5511155 or 8504850 or 8508506 it gives 0191 490 7901 (hm, that's Newcastle). There are some 0845 no's too which are quite cheap at the weekend.

For BA Duty Manager it gives 0208 745 6155 but says it diverts to security when unattended, not sure if you'd want them.
