ds1 (3.5) has a party at pre-school next week and wants to go as a ladybird (it's a bug theme and thats his favourite).
Any ideas on something easy to do? I've got as far as thinking that I should put some black spots on a red t-shirt - but don't how do I put them on without ruining the t-shirt, or should I go and get a cheap red t-shirt (tesco?) and draw on it?
Do they have antennae?
Thanks!

Almost certainly

thanks for that WWB and giraffeski - I tried googling last night but didn't put in the right thing obviously - just kept getting fancy dress shops and hire.
Think will use t-shirt rather than sweatshirt in this weather but will go into fabric shop and see what they have. Have to admit to not doing any sewing for a very long time, so this will be a challenge - might go for the fabric pen misdee!

Oh just get the ladybird sleeping bag from tescos and get her to hop in it to school.

Cheap red umberella from pound shop with felt-tip black spots on, to hide under? And one of those head bands with bobbing things on springs adapted to look like antenna?
