Is there an easy way to do some type of search on your pc and to delet double ups of photos? Or anyway to do this online?

I hve bought a new computer and need to save all photos on a memory stick but they will not fit as I think I have double or triple copys of photos. But they were all saved at different times so will take me ages to go through every single one.

Please help my confused brain...

someone recommended picasa to me... I have found it brilliant for organising my photos and there is a feature that enables you to search for dupicated ones too.

Oh sounds great, thank you for the tip, I'll have a look now...

alo all of my pictures re in different folders, so how can I combind them all into one folder?

Sorry I know you are probably not an expert but if you do know how to do any of these things would be great.

Marking place as would like to delete all my dupes as well....

Haven't used Picasa, but puter is positively groaning under multiple photos and vids. I did get them all onto an external hard drive but then something happened and my bloody camera downloaded the lot again, and I daren't delete till I've checked!

Sorry, only just got time to reply - under tools, experimental and then show duplicate files - I just left one of each shown (hope this is right!)

I like my photos being put into folders, I can find them quickly - I also really liked the face recognition feature. I think you can drag and drop photos though - so would this enable you to make one big folder?

The photo fixes are good and very simple too.

I am still playing with it

Thank you for your help. I am really rubbish with compiuters.

I have been able to find out which pictures are duplicates. But when I try to delet one it delets both copies of the picture. How can I keep one copy and delet the other?

Thanks again for your help...

No you are not telling me what I already know, it was me being silly I think.

When TheBlasphemousShadow told me to leave one copy behind, I thought she meant in that folder. Would have helped to use my brai.
