Hi there, my son lost is favourite teddy bear comforter in Kingston Upon Hull City Centre shops on Saturday 20th February in the afternoon. I've tried the 2 shops that we visited, but no luck. Not sure if it was lost between shops :-( I've now one upset little boy. Thought I would try this long shot to see if anyone may have seen it. I've put a picture of it on my account. Heres hoping!

Sorry, not from your area so can't help, but thought you should know I can't see your profile to see what the teddy looks like.

Have you tried ebaying for another one? When ds2's beloved bunny disappeared it took a while, but we found another one on ebay eventually. Fortunately for us we had already had the original bunny returned by then, so we ended up with a spare.

Do you know where the teddy came from originally? It often helps when searching ebay for a replacement.

We made 'wanted' posters with "Have you seen this bunny?" on and stuck them to all the trees and lamp-posts in the neighbourhood. 24 hours later we got a phonecall from a lovely little boy's Mum. She told us he had rescued it from some bigger boys who found it on the pavement outside the shops, taken it home and given it a bath and would bring it round after tea. We said we'd like to reward him and wanted to give him ten pounds, but his Mum said just a large bar of galaxy would make his day and ten pounds was too much. We did protest, but she insisted. So we gave him two large bars of galaxy instead! He was indeed delighted.

Funny thing is, everyone in the village then recognised ds2 by his bunny. The bunny is quite the local celeb these days, even the crossing lady asks afer him.

Quick.

Can't see from the picture. Is it a Winnie the Pooh one a bit like this?.

Don't think yours has the label on the front though.

Or this one?

EN2009 · 23/02/2010 20:21

Thanks for the links. It was originally from Sainsbury's and just a generic teddy bear. Not a Disney one. We cut the lable off as my son used to suck it. This one looks very similar. Have had a look on ebay a while ago to buy a second (in case we lost this one) but not had any luck yet. Will keep watching ebay and hope :-) Thank you

Great thank you for spotting this one. Managed to win it (think it is the same as the lost one). Just waiting for it to arrive in the post now and hoping my son takes to it as though it was the original one :-)
