Just shouted to b/f that here was one he could answer as he had been on it, his response 'oh Christ, thats 20 minutes I wouldn't want to repeat' But apparently even the crew said it was a bad crossing! Sorry!!

Haven't travelled to Brem sur Mer with Carisma but I have travelled on the Fastcat!

It was a rough crossing for us - unfortunately DD2 (age 2.5) was travel sick, then eventually most people on the crossing were ill. The poor staff were walking around with mops and buckets!

DH, myself and other 2 children felt very queasy for most of the journey. Our journey time was 2 hours - Poole to Cherbourg crossing.

On the way back, we travelled on a normal ferry and we were all fine.

However, (must be mad!) I have booked the same crossing again for when we go in August (and I will give DD2 travel sickness pills this time!) -it's just such a convenient crossing as we arrive in France about 9.30am allowing us plenty of time for our drive down to Brittany.

Hope you have a good time anyway !
