Does it light whilst the door on the oven is shut? If so, it'll be fine if you fan out the oven.

Whizzz · 10/07/2005 21:04

How long was the gas on for ? It would disperse fairly quickly if you have opene windows & doors

misdee · 10/07/2005 21:05

have left oven door open. was like it for about 5mins, have left it now about 5 mins. no smell at all now.

I think it will be fine...

Distracted · 10/07/2005 21:05

Agree would probably leave an hour, although I doubt it's really necessary. I did this once & was dead scared to turn on light switches or anything for ages after. Certainly opening doors & windows is best idea.

I'm sure I talked to my dad afterwards and gas used on domestic hobs & ovens is pretty safe compared to calor gas, so doubt it would really be long before safe.

Hope someone can be more definite!
