It says on one page that you can get a grant if you are looking after someone ill or disabled and on the next page it says that they won't pay for removal cost if the local authoity(sp??) will pay for it??? Very confused, and not sure if I can claim it now.....

Ok, so confusing, as the woman I spoke to said I would be able to get help with removal cost on that form.......

It does say on the form that I can get a budgeting loan and that covers removal and beds and carpet and all that, but that you have to pay back, and the lady said to claim this one first and if I get nothing then go for the loan.

if nothing else the dss will pay your removal expenses-its just that if you are acting as a carer occasionally i think social services will help with moving costs which is prob why they said that. i would apply for the grant first and see what happens, i had my moving costs paid ten yearsago when a lone parent.
