My mother applied to be one a long time ago.

I remember listening with my ear to the lounge door when someone came round for a chat or an informal interview, to hear my mother spouting on about the death penalty being restored, how the country was falling apart, the youth of today etc etc.

Funnily enough she didnt get through to the next round.

PMSL @ your mum Carrotfly. I think she got confused - those were the sorts of things you were meant to say to AVOID jury duty. Not to become a member of the lay judiciary.
