Has anyone been to see Stephen K Amos doing stand up?

Just wondered what he was like?

Have just booked tickets to see Rhod Gilbert and really love Stephen K Amos on The Wright Stuff and Live at the Apollo. Would love to go see him too, despite it being on a tuesday evening (what a silly night of the week)

Yup, and he was great. Very good at working the crowd but in a nice way, not rubbishing people in the way some comedians do.

did he do a lot of 'race jokes', I find that a bit tiresome?

Well, he talked about being Black in a humorous manner. Was touring Australia and discovered the best-selling brand of cheese is called Coon Cheese. But he was funny about it rather than outraged, as you'd expect from a comedian.

think I am going to book for the london show and make a weekend of it

saw him in Edinburgh a few years ago before he got really well known and he was fab. Very dry humour quite sophisticated, charming. Would def recommend.

have booked the tickets now, am very excited

no but am going to see him on 28th and really looking forward to it.

I find him very funny and charming on The Wright Stuff, hope he's good (am sure he will be)
