Not sure where to put this - tax credits and maternity leave

I am 20 weeks pg with DC3 and work part time. I receive the childcare element of WTC as well as CTC but I am wondering what will happen when I go on maternity leave.

I have only been in my job since September so won't be entitled to SMP, but I am wondering if I will still get tax credits? DD isn't a problem as she goes to school, but I am dreading the day DS has to stop going to the CM because she is lovely and he has come on so well since being with her.

I do intend to go back to work at some point but this will be dependent on whether I can get help to pay childcare costs for 2 DCs.

Just wondered if anyone knew what was what?

Tax credits treat maternity leave exactly as if you were working- so your still entitled to the same amounts you get currently although it will go up when the baby is born.

Somebody else will be along soon who knows more- but I'm on maternity leave and phoned them and nothing changed.
