I'd like to get to know someone via snail mail. Ideally someone in very different circumstances to me i.e not a youngish mother with 2 children stuck in rut - however I dont want to go down the prisoner on death row route either (obviously I'll be using my own address and would panic about being tracked down and stalked etc!!!!).
Where can I find someone who is reasonably normal, probably quite a bit older than me (50+) etc?? I'm thinking a foreign country too (but then get worried that they might be writing to me and then turn up on my doorstep with 12 members of their family!!).
Anyone had a success story or any general advice they could share?

p.s we are doing a charity/world vision thing as a family so am avoiding that route for now.
