Freaky indeed.
What gives me the creeps is the tagline on one formula 'Now even closer to breastmilk'

Urgghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

starlover · 28/06/2005 21:36

hehe yeah, although there are a couple of people on here who have used them when trying to persuade b/f baby onto bottle... very succesful by all accounts!

Libb · 28/06/2005 21:37

I suppose it makes sense . . . .

mogwai · 28/06/2005 22:25

can't you get a bottle in the shape of a cow?

MrsGordonRamsay · 28/06/2005 22:27

Wish I had those when I had to BottleF DS at 7 days old

No

If it comes closer to the boob than a bottle and yet holds formula what is the issue ??

Fio2 · 28/06/2005 22:34

oh I wish my breasts l;ooked like that

bosscat · 28/06/2005 22:35

I think its quite sweet actually. What's so urggggghhhhh about it? Oh sorry I forgot, that was written by someone who had to move rooms in hospital because they couldn't bear the sight of bottle feeding mothers (yawn)

MrsGordonRamsay · 28/06/2005 22:36

You are joking Bosscat ??

Please tell me you are joking....

Caligula · 28/06/2005 22:41

Wierd, but bloody brilliant if they mean that when you're having a problems breastfeeding, you can feed a newborn expressed milk without having to cupfeed/ spoonfeed. From the blurb, they say that it's ideal for switching between breast and bottle - does that mean the baby has to use the breast-feeding technique to get the milk out?

bosscat · 28/06/2005 22:44

okay I'm joking
Loving your husbands work by the way

MrsGordonRamsay · 28/06/2005 22:52

Did you see him tonight, did you, did you, he was so masterful..................swoooooooooon

marthamoo · 28/06/2005 22:54

It's just a bit synthetic boob for me - like groping someone else's. Can see the benefits of course.

Janh · 28/06/2005 22:55

It looks like a Playtext teat, and they claim to have to be sucked the same way as a breast.

MrsGordonRamsay · 28/06/2005 22:57

Well MMoo

When you go in to Hospital, determined to BF and you leave with a permanent heart condition and life long dependency on tablets, you would try anything no matter how synthetic it looked.

Walk a mile in my shoes.

handlemecarefully · 28/06/2005 23:10

My first reaction was ...ohhherr wierd.

My more considered reaction is - I guess it has it's place.

handlemecarefully · 28/06/2005 23:12

Hope my post wasn't insensitive to you MrsGR

marthamoo · 28/06/2005 23:12

I really didn't intend to upset anyone - kind of sorry I posted it now.

OP posts:
Fio2 · 28/06/2005 23:14

oh moo, dont take ity to heart love

morocco · 28/06/2005 23:26

these bf threads!!
anyhow, having looked at the picture, I can tell you now that it is certainly not what my busom looks like - I'd be stabbing dh with nips like that! I hope they have a range of designs so the saggy breasted among us don't get offended (mine have headed a looooong way south)

MamaMaiasaura · 28/06/2005 23:30

doesnt simulate my breast shape - poor ds was a lot more swamped that that!!

misdee · 28/06/2005 23:31

i'd need 3 to make up one3 boob

MrsGordonRamsay · 28/06/2005 23:35

Just a bit sad at the polarity, I clicked and thought wow, and then what I can only presume were seasoned BFers rowed in behind. On here too long to go to bed upset, but as I said sometimes you need to walk a mile in some ones shoes on an issue like this.

So Moo, not upset with you, or anyone just dissapointed sometimes with peoples reactions.
