How long to say for a cinema/pizza birthday?

The film's 91 mins - so that's fair enough - I'm asking parents to bring their boys to the cinema half an hour before it starts

But I'm not too sure how long I should give for going to the pizza place?

Any experiences to share?

There will be DH, DS2, DS1 with 3 friends and me?

I would say 45 mins if it's not too busy at pizza place , my ds had this last year and they had all eaten within 10 min of plates being put in front of them

Thanks Lily - haven't a clue as I've (amazingly) not been to the local pizza hut before now!!

Though I've just heard from a friend that it's a really poor one.

Might have to rethink

30 mins is quite long to sit with excited children before the film begins (esp when you consider that the preview / ads last forever ... I'd anticipate 50 mins for pizza if it's close to the cinema. Good luck, you're a saint

Well it'll most likely be more like 20-15 mins waiting (one of the mums is notriously tardy!!) and then fill the rest of the time with collecting tickets, dishing out small treats and drinks and pre toilet visits.

I'm not quite as mental saintly as the mum that took the WHOLE class to cinema then pizza hut for her son's birthday. That's 30 excited kids

I did think I might live to regret the 30 min thing if said mum turns up on time - but I know the three friends and they are fully able to entertian themselves with stupid talk for a short while!
