"reticent"

" 1. Inclined to keep one's thoughts, feelings, and personal affairs to oneself. See synonyms at silent.
2. Restrained or reserved in style.
3. Reluctant; unwilling."

So I'd say it means you give lots of praise

handlemecarefully · 27/06/2005 11:32

Why who said that to you then?

Mama5 · 27/06/2005 11:32

Yeah it means you praise a lot - a good thing!

What a funny way to put it though, makes it sound almost negative.

charliecat · 27/06/2005 13:30

Thats what i thought!

I thought it was a bit pompous - what is wrong with good old fashioned plain English like "you are good at giving praise" [exasperated emoticon]

fishfinger · 27/06/2005 14:10

No it hink it means you over praise

Janh · 27/06/2005 14:15

I think coddy's right. "Not negative" isn't the same as "positive" in English!

fishfinger · 27/06/2005 14:15

ask em
then punch em

fishfinger · 27/06/2005 14:16

here

handlemecarefully · 27/06/2005 14:26

I suspect that could end up replacing or at least rivalling the bat

fishfinger · 27/06/2005 14:31

yaya
better save it to my faves

Weatherwax · 27/06/2005 14:41

At work I was once told off for praising my staff for working well- apparently the other team were unhappy they didn't get praise. I think it was not my problem but that of the other supervisor!
