I'VE DONE IT!!!

I joined the gym in April and never in a million years thought I'd be were I am now in such a short space of time.

The first time I went on a running machine and actually ran I lasted about 3 minutes max and nearly keeled over when I got off.

Over the weeks it's been getting easier and I've been doing 20 minutes of fast walking/running each time, gradually increasing the running and decreasing the walking.

Every time I've been getting to 1.9 miles in the 20 mins and it's been driving me mad that I could get to 2 miles.

Ok, it the grand scheme of things this isn't much but I'm really chuffed with myself so I'm blowing my own trumpet here

It clicked over to 2 miles for the first time on wednesday, I did it again on Friday and then today I got to 2.1 miles.

I love it!!!! and the gym instructor has said if I keep this up he'll nominate me for gym member of the month. I spend about 2 hrs every other day there now

I'm not going to create world peace or anything but for me it's a huge achievement.

You're on, QE. Get your knee better ASAP.

The reason I ran so well today was because I was thinking about our Fishfinger/cod and her 20 mins-2 mile run each day.

I really wanted to do it, simply beacuse she can

Blimey, you sound like me - I just have to beat someone, it doesn't matter who it is!! Looking all cool and as though it was nothing really all at the same time of course

A very long way from it infact.
I had sweat dripping off my nose!

I didn't look cool as in " CooooooL" either and cheered myself when it changed to 2.2 miles.
