I go to a salon pre holiday and have a st. Tropez tan. It's lovely and relaxing and does (though I say so myself) look great. It costs approx. £40, but I think its worth it once a year. I then top-up post holiday with body shop self-tan.

Am I alone in thinking natural snowy white skin is fall on the floor, knockout gorgeous?

Only if it's alabaster white and smooth - not if it's blue tinged, porous and hairy

I just use the Boots soltan self-tan range which works really well for me. I have very dark hair so the colouring suits me well. Much depends on your skin tone. During the summer I use self-tan constantly and have tried a fair few in my time! Even managed to apply a good, even coat just before I went into labour with ds!!!!!! Well - it was important to me to look nicely bronzed on our big day!
