I want to send some things to our troops in Afghanistan

Can any one tell me where I can to get info about doing it please?

My son was in afghan last winter. They got boxes from volunteers (a shoebox was free up to a certain weight: the Post office should advise). There was a problem at one point, where he was (helmand) with lots of boxes going to unnamed individuals c/o Camp Bastion so they were then being sent to named soldiers who then dished them out amongst themselves. Have you tried the local army careers office for an addresss? The lads like loads of chocolate, biscuits and mags like NUTS, Loaded etc in particular!!

I thought chocolate was no good because it melted, or is that just the summer? [no idea of weather emoticon]
