did anyone else see the solstice in? I thought this was pretty special as he woke up for a feed at 4.40am just in time to see the sunrise. The one time I've thanked him for waking me up!

How lovely !

I remember doing this with ds1 (born early June) when he was a few weeks old. I was knackered but it was memorable!

I used to love watching the sun rise while I was feeding dd, I remember watching the sun rise on the Solstice when she was a month old, listening to the dawn chorus, and thinking (through the haze of fatigue!) that I was hugely privileged.

I saw in the solstice today nine years ago when my ds1 was born at 2:57 am. I missed it a bit today, but I did wake up at 5 o'clock, worrying about how we would fit in ds1's birthday presents before his father left for work this morning at 7! Funny things that worry me! I am sure the dawn chorus was still going at 5.
