Cars - can you install air conditioning?

if it doesn't have it and is it costly?

I hate my car not having AC (its an Astra)

Yes, you can.

It's fairly expensive, though they do sometimes have special offers on it.

It's much easier to build a car with air con in it already than put it in afterwards as it's quite a fiddly kit, iyswim. Is in BMWs anyway!

I suggest a row of hand-held fans blue- tacked to the dashboard.

No idea Twig, but by the time you've paid for it you may as well have bought another car with AC. Go on.....buy another Saab.....you know it makes sense

u know i was wondering this today cos both my mum and sis have AC in their car, and i dont, and poor dd was sat in the back red cheeked and sweating

at bubble .. the Saab was a company car (one in a long line of posh, lovely, fully air-conditioned, fully paid for perks ) .. it had the sexiest automatic roof in the world .. as a SAHM I only just about qualify for the Astra

am going to try the blu-tac of small fans along dashboard though
