It's been eating through our loft for the past couple of weeks and finally set the trap today - caught it within an hour of putting it up there. He's planning to drive it to the park and release it back into the wild. I am very amused but also wondering if it will a) bite him or b)find it's way back. No doubt the same squirrel he had a water fight with a few weeks ago as he tried to stop it from eating our window ledges.
Next step - find the hole and close it up....but first to set another trap incase it invited any of it's friends over...

accidently drop it in front of a small terrier type dog

I was proud - but more hassle than it's worth to have to kill them too!

yes, having to kill it makes it something rather more tiresome!

At University we used to kill mice by putting their cage in a plastic bag and sucking out all the air with a vacuum cleaner.

Not sure if illegal now.

that's sick!

What about swinging a rat by its tail an smacking its head on the lab bench. A very stern senior female Professor used to do that as a speciality before slicing their heads off to collect blood.

Beta Dad - I think you would have a lucrative career in pest control...especially if you become one of the big names. Got a quote for £384+VAT from one company!!!!
