what would you do with it?

Just to add a comment to the mix - I have a student loan which I defer every year as I don't earn enough.

This year I rang them as I inherited quite a bit of money from my Dad last year so presumed that this counted as "income" but couldn't see where to put it in the form.

I was told it "didn't count" as income or savings and to not declare it.

I'd check if I were you, lilyplant, you never know...

Somewhere between "partly" and "largely", depending on your degree of cynicism...
