DD is now 6 months and at the stage where she's "doing" things - missing her like mad as she's at nursery at the mo and have been thinking about the best things about her. I've managed to narrow it down to 5 fav's. Anyone else like to join in?

  • her big welcoming smile when you've been out, even for 5 minutes.
  • the way she looks at you with big eyes full of love when she's having her bottle and a cuddle.
  • the cheeky grin you get first thing in the morning when you find her completley turned round and legs hanging out of the side of her cot.
  • the shock on her face when you change from main meal to pudding.
  • The way she always giggles when you "eat" her belly and neck.

Ds2 15weeks

that he still won't go to sleep as he prefers giggling with me

that he is fabulously chunky

that he needs me

that he blows bubbles for mine and his own amusement

that he is his own little person with his whole life ahead of him

DS eight months:

*the way he looks at me with such love when I get him up after a sleep (as though he hasn't seen me for ages)
*the way he splashes his arms and legs in the bath because hes so excited (he also knows that he will soak me through!)
*the way he looks when hes asleep - so peaceful and innocent (such a beautiful child)
*the way he gazes up at me whilst breastfeeding, I have never felt so close and special to anyone
*that adorable smile and chubby little arms that reach out to me when hes being held by someone else (he really only wants me, I'm sure!)

I know it was 5 favourite things but...
the fact that hes mine and has changed my life to such an extent that I cannot imagine ever being without him - he has made my life complete (and I can't wait for a second!)

I loved reading all these so now here's my own.

DS 5 months:

  1. The way he beams at us and kicks his legs when we peer into his cot after he wakes from naps
  2. The way he snuggles his head into the nape of my neck when he's tired
  3. How he looks so excited and stunned by water squeezed from a sponge held up high at bathtime.
  4. How he's made me look forward to the future more than I ever thought I could
  5. How he's made me ache with love for someone all over again

Awwwww, I'm going to go and give him a hug right now

Really hard to narrow it down to just five but.........
DS3 15 weeks
1)His lovely blue eyes.....I really hope they stay so blue.
2)When he grins at me if I'm trying to feed him so that the mouth full of milk goes everywhere.
3)The way he rubs his face against me when he's tired, making his nose go red!
4)The lovely big smile I get at 6am every morning when he wakes for the first bottle.....he's so excited to see me.
5)The way he watches his 2 big brothers every move, and chuckles when DS1 talks to him.

Can I really only do five........I could go on and on and on and on

Just one extra)That I could cry because I love him sooooooooooooooooo much, I can't believe how lucky I am.

Oh and one more)If you let him, he'll suck your nose or chin or cheek....anything, it's so funny and he loves to chuckle with us!

DS 5 months

  • the smile on his face when I go to get him out of the cot each morning.

-the way he puts his toes in his mouth

-the confused look on his face when trying him with a new taste, deciding if he likes it or not!

-the way his eyes follow me around the room.

-how beautiful he is in every way

nightowl · 01/10/2004 01:53

when she wakes up from a nap and looks round confused with her face "all puffed up"

when she blows raspberries at me

when she says babba

when, if youre not taking enought notice of her she shakes her little arms and screeches

when i walk over to her cot, say good morning and she gives me that beautiful cheeky smile

nightowl · 01/10/2004 01:54

oh sorry i know its six but... when she is tired and she grabs her blanket and pulls it over her head

tigerlil · 01/10/2004 08:44

DD is 10 months so I'd say:

  • her exquisite blue eyes
  • her laugh (at almost everything)
  • her beautiful thick blonde hair
  • her inquisitiveness which sometimes leads to mischief!
  • ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ABOUT HER!!!!

5 things about her that I love:

  2. The way she tries to launch herself out of DH's arms to get to me
  3. How excited she gets when I go and get her up in the morning
  4. The way she looks up at me and holds on to my hair when she is feeding and then pulls off the boob with a big milky gummy grin
  5. Her fat fat fat legs ... so scrummy I could EAT them ...

My son is now 7 months old. My five favourite things about him are:

  • His gorgeous smile when you pick him out of his cot in the mornings
  • He only cries when he wants feeding or nappy change
  • He has slept through the night since 2 weeks old
  • Always happy
  • Those goooooooooorrrrrrrrrgeous chubby legs that you just need to keep squidging
  • His determination to get somewhere even though he cant crawl
WestCountryLass · 13/01/2005 21:39
  • Her cream bun cheeks, she is soooo chubby and soooo scrummy.
- Her big droopy bum, it's adorable, she is a Botticelli baby. - The way she coos when she is nursing and taking slow dream filled slugs of milk. - The way she sits there with her feet crossed over like dainty little lady. - Her love filled eyes first thing in the morning.
