after hours locked in his study his book has finally been published

Well done DH. Publishing a book is like putting your mark in history. Once published it can never be un-published.

wow well done Mr Katz. Well done him (and you for putting up with him while no doubt locked away for months! )

thank you - he worked very hard on the book and hopefully it will now help lots more a level historians to get better grades - he's a fab teacher by all accounts.

We are proud of him here too! It's a big achievement. Tell him we will get hm a pint in when we celebrate on Friday!

jux - no champagne tonight but having a book launch down the pub on friday, i think DH will stick to beer but hula and i are always happy to share champagne with others.

My godmother's husband was an historian - occasionally stumble across one of his books (occasionally because I'm not an academic) and always gives me a lovely warm glow that he is still not forgotten, IYKWIM, even though he died something like ten years ago.

you're all very welcome to purchase a copy, he gets a whole 26p each time someone does so if around 4000 of you each month buy a copy i can quit my job!
