Can you hire a car by the month?

Am buying a car which won't come till January. Can I hire a car in the meantime? Is there anywhere that leases for this short amount of time and if so, which is the cheapest deal you know of?

Yes it's called contract hire and it depends where you are in the country the cheapest place. However it's worth contacting local garages as they may have some lease vehicles available for short term lease/hire.
