The construction of new nuclear power stations would be very, very bad in terms of carbon footprints.

They don't work so well in France - heard some woman on the radio who lives near one that had a leak. They can't drink the tap water and have to rely on bottled, for the foreseeable future (which is also not great in terms of carbon).

Good point about hydro-electricity, why aren't there any plans for more stations?

We are still in recession. This is the worst recession since this method of recording was started, in 1955.
